I've been doing a lot of reading lately about Private Label Rights (PLR) content. I used to think that it was only for lazy people who didn't want to do their own writing. But as I learn more, I've come up with lots of great ways I can use PLR in my own business.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, PLR is content that you get from the original author along with their permission to use it as your own. So you can get a great report, put your name on it and have your own product to sell or give away!

The first couple of products I created using PLR only took me about half an hour. There have been a few sales so far from them so that was definitely time well spent.

When searching for PLR content to use, I found there were a lot of different types of sites available. Some offered monthly memberships and others offered just one time purchases. So be sure to look around before you decide where to buy.

Last Call, an interactive horror movie breakthrough

After the recent success with 4D technology implemented with the movie Avatar, which succeeded in winning 2 Oscar Awards, what do you think is the next technology to be implemented in the Film Industry?

A company called 13th Street has put together a movie called "Last Call" that claims to be the first interactive horror film to be released, where the audience is able to communicate with a character on the screen, therefor getting involved directly with the actress and determining the plot of the movie.

The idea works as the following : First, the audience is urged to give out their cellphone number when purchasing the ticket. The numbers are then stored in a specific database. During specific scenes of the movie, a software will randomly call one of the submitted numbers in the database. An audience will then answer the call and hear the on-screen actress requesting for help. Then the selected audience will be involved with the escape of the actress by offering decisions when asked by the actress. Furthermore, the audience can also decide whether the actress should help other victims to flee the scene or not. Every single choice shapes the fate of the actress and the outcome of the movie.

Although there may still be misteries and scarcities in the implementation, but the breakthrough with the concept is one that shall be developed, and bring a new experience for audiences in watching a movie.

The screen is able to rollup around a core which doubles as not only a method of storage but also as an A/C adapter as well as a USB hub. The "laptop" has a flexible OLED display that is also capable of multitouch. When rolled out it becomes a 17-inch flat screen but can also be folded into a 13-inch tablet of sorts. I'd like to think that by the time we see something like the Rolltop we will have wireless power, but the detachable stand stores the tablet's stylus, power adapter and USB ports. From what it appears, the keyboard is onscreen and the whole unit can be converted into a giant tablet PC as well.

For you fans of video games, especially the Xbox console, Microsoft has released a statement that the newest console they're developing, The Xbox 720, will be available in the year 2011-2012. He said that they were going to support it “as long as it sold.” Possibly because they saw the Xbox sell well into 2007 despite not producing the console after October 2005.

He said the production team from the Xbox 360 is working on the next Xbox 720 [our pet name], and their looking into what kind of CPUs will be available on the market in 2011-2012. That would put the Xbox 360 at a lifespan of 6 or 7 years, a far cry from the Xbox’s 4 years. After spending $1.26 billion in losses launching the Xbox 360, they’ll want to get the most out of the system by lengthening its lifespan. As the longer you get into the cycle, the more profit you can make due to stopping being a loss leader, analysts always remark.

On June 13th, 2008, Robbie Bach — the President of Entertainment & Devices Division at Microsoft — mentioned the next Xbox by saying: “Our view is we will be selling Xbox 360 for a long time. We are always working on new technologies. We have people working on those. People ask me how many people I have working on the next generation. On the one hand, it’s everybody. On the other, it’s nobody. People are continuously working on new technology.

Yesterday my campus (Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia) was visited by a representative from Microsoft Indonesia, and 2 MSPs (Microsoft Student Partner) from UGM. What's the occasion of their coming to my campus? Other than to introduce MSDNAA (Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance), it's to publicize a competition which had been conducted by Microsoft for several years. Imagine Cup 2009 is the name of that competition. The world's premier student technology competition, is how Microsoft would describe this event.

What is Imagine Cup?The Imagine Cup is a global student technology competition focused on finding solutions to real-world issues. The competition encourages the world's most talented software designers, programmers, game developers, photographers and filmmakers to tackle the toughest problems facing the world today. The average college student is often pressed for time, under a lot of stress and eating on the go. You may find it difficult to avoid bad habits like skipping meals or frequenting fast food restaurants. But eating a healthy diet can help you feel better, deal with stress and perform better in the class-room and on the athletic field. It really isn't that hard to get started. First of all, here are some healthy eating tips for college students anywhere :

Eat a good breakfast. Studies show that skipping breakfast detracts from scholastic achievement
If you must eat fast foods, choose wisely. Choose pizza with half the cheese, a regular size roast beef sandwich, baked potato, or green salad with reduced calorie dressing. Limit high fat offering like french fries, fried chicken or fish sandwiches and watch out for salad dressing.
Keep healthful snacks on hand so if hunger strikes during a late night study session, you won't be tempted to buy junk food. If you have a refrigerator, consider raw vegetables with low-fat yogurt
Eat plenty of foods that are rich in calcium. People in their early twenties need to be build up stores of calcium in their bodies to prevent osteoporosis in later life. If you don't like milk, try to include ample amounts of low-fat yogurt, low-fat cheese, and green leafy vegetables in your diet.
If you need to lose weight, do it sensibly. Starvation and/or diets that offer a quick fix usually backfire and are harmful. There is not truth to the theories that suggest eating foods in any particular combination will promote weight loss. The only safe way to lose weight, feel good while doing it, and keep it off is to eat a balanced diet.
Sugar provides calories in your diet but few other nutrients and it contributes significantly to tooth decay. Use it sparingly and consider sweetening coffee, tea, cereal and fruit with diet sweeteners instead.
The dining hall salad bar can be either an asset or a detriment to you diet depending on how you choose from it. Of course, leafy greens, raw vegetable and fresh fruit are beneficial. But if you choose lot of creamy dressing, bacon bit, and mayonnaise based salads, the calories and fat may equal or even exceed those of a burger and fries.
If you drink alcohol, keep in mind that it supplies calories but no nutritional value. A light beer, a glass of wine, or an ounce of liquor each has about 100 calories. There are also many health problems associated with drinking alcohol.
Drink lots of water. Your body needs at least eight glasses a day, and if you exercise vigorously, you may need more. To remind yourself, carry a water bottle along to class and keep it handy during late night study sessions.
Remember, food is a lot more than nourishment for our bodies. Enjoy and savor it.

The Future "Flying" Car

There is no doubt that food is one of the largest factors related to health. Nutricious food equals good health, and vice versa. And often times people are very cautious about food because they're afraid of the outcome to their health, although their caution is rather wasteful because sometimes what they thought was bad for their health is really alright for their health, in fact maybe even good for it. To assure of certain thoughts about food and health, here are some myths and facts related to it.

1. MYTH : Bluish milk is diluted with chalk.

In fact, bluish milk is the best as its fat and cholesterol contents are low. Skimmed milk has the lowest fat content – 0.05 %. It has a bluish colour, but definitely it contains no chalk. Such milk has less vitamin A than other types of milk, but it has as much protein as any. This product has full value and good for those who watch their calories.

2. MYTH : Milk with a long shelf life contains strong preservatives.

That is not true. The secret lies in the application of high-temperature technologies. Milk is heated to 135C and then quickly cooled. That makes "bad" bacteria perish, but all the vitamins are retained.

3. MYTH : Boiling water destroys pathogenic micro organisms.

It is not quite so. Boiling does not destroy even micro organisms, let alone heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, nitrates, phenol or oil products. So, this is not enough for its purification. Besides, beneficial salts of calcium and magnesium settle inside a teapot after boiling.

4. MYTH : Canned food is not good for health.

In many respects this can be true for canned meat rather than canned fish. Long heat treatment makes even large fish bones soft and edible, thus providing an additional source for calcium intake, which is beneficial for our skeleton. Daily recommendation of calcium is approximately 1,500 mg, both for men or women, young or old.

5. MYTH : It is unwise to swim within one hour of eating.

This myth dates half a century back when the American Red Cross has published an instruction on life-saving saying that swimming immediately after meal may cause stomach cramps and even death. But later this theory was questioned. Many swimmers assert that they usually cover long distances during training sessions immediately after meal.

6. MYTH : Lovers lose appetite.

Willi Pasini, professor of psychiatry and psychology at Geneva University, is based on his investigation claiming that lovers, especially men, contrary to the popular notion, tend to have better appetite. Owing to their sentimentality, only one of women in love out of four loses her appetite.

7. MYTH : Children should eat mushrooms.

Mushrooms are often included in children's diet. However, you shouldn't do that, as children do not generate enzymes needed to process the protein contained in mushrooms. That is why children get food poisoning from eating even small portions of edible mushrooms. The consequences of mushroom poisoning are equally disastrous for children and elderly people.

8. MYTH : Toxins can be removed from mushrooms after boiling them for several hours.

This is deceptive. In most cases mushroom toxins show very strong resistance to heat treatment.

9. MYTH : Alcohol helps fight mushroom poisoning.

On the contrary, alcohol aggravates poisoning effects.

10. MYTH : People with greasy hair shouldn't eat too much fat.

Too much fat is not good in any case. However, even if you consume one litre of olive oil within a day, that will hardly reflect on the structure of your hair.

11. MYTH : Raw food is better than processed one.

It is not so simple. Some vegetables, for example eggplants and beans contain toxic substances, which become harmless only after heat treatment. Besides, the stomach often can’t digest raw products properly.

12. MYTH : Lettuce makes your figure slim.

This belief is true to some extent as lettuce leaves practically do not contain calories. However, generally they are not eaten alone and most lettuce sauces are high in fat.

13. MYTH : Liver is very nutritious.

The liver certainly stores many vitamins, minerals and protein, but it also contains a lot of fat and cholesterol. Furthermore, according to American nutritionists, cattle liver accumulates hazardous quantities of chemicals and hormones animals get from fodder.

It has been proved that caffeine does not affect healthy development of fetus and is unrelated to miscarriage. But according to recent American studies, pregnant women should refrain from coffee as well as from coke or any other drink containing caffeine.

18. MYTH : Coffee causes a rise in blood pressure.

This statement is disputable. Australian researcher Jack James in his 1998 study showed that three to four cups of coffee taken in the course of the day tend to slightly increase the lower level of blood pressure.

However, such a rise in pressure can be caused by an emotional dispute with the your friend or even by the sight of a doctor holding a tonometer and coming up to you. The English doctors say that the "hypertonic" action of coffee is short lived, and does virtually not affect its regular drinkers.

19. MYTH : Lemons are sour because they lack sugar and rich in vitamin C.

In fact, one kilo of lemons has more sugar than one kilo of strawberries. As for vitamin C, its content in strawberries is higher than in lemons. Lemons are highly valued for many other beneficial substances, or antimicrobic and antiseptic properties rather than for their vitamin C content. For this reason lemons are long since known to have been used against cold, flu, sore throat, inflammatory diseases of the palate.

20. MYTH : Carrots are extraordinarily beneficial for your eyes.

Carrots contain beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A needed for the function of the eye's retina. However, large quantities of beta-carotene are found in the liver and are easily replenished with various products. Therefore, fears that you'll not get enough vitamin A, which is critical for your vision, appear to be far-fetched.

Browsers are mandatory for us to be able to access the web. There are many browsers available for you to use. But I think one of the best browsers that I have used so far is the Opera browser. I think that have done a very creative job by introducing the speed dial feature and the "mouse tabbing" (if i'm not mistaken) feature.
But other than the browser itself, and of course other softwares made by the company, I think Opera has done a very well job in socializing it's products. Not only by making a self owned Opera community, where you can create a blog and socialize with many other opera community members, but also in the education sector where they created the Opera Campus Crew Community. Grapes Lower High Blood Pressure

A research done recently by the University of Michigan shows that grapes may fight high blood pressure and heart disease. This is due to the high level of antioxidants and flavonoids found in the fruit, which may reduce hypertension that can lead to heart failure.

The research were done towards laboratory rats, who were fed powdered regular table grapes. After approximately 18 weeks, rats that ate the grape-enriched powder had lower blood pressure and better heart function than comparable rats that didn't receive the mixture, while rats on salt diets and hydralazine, a blood pressure medicine, had lower blood pressure but their heart function weren't as well as the grape fed rats.

But still, the researchers said that the best advice for people with high blood pressure is cut down the amount of salt they eat,

Bill Gates is known to be the richest person in the world for more than a decade. But can he maintain his status for another decade? According to Forbes magazine, Gates is now the third richest person in the world, falling down to Warren Buffet in the top position, and Carlos Slim Helu in second.

Gates' slump is believed to be caused by the bid made by Microsoft for the search engine giant Yahoo! at the beginning of February. Microsoft shares fell 15% between January 31st, that is the day before Microsoft announced the bid, and February 11th.

Gates' fortune is calculated to be about $58 billion, up $2 billion from the year before, whereas Buffet's fortune went up $10 billion from the year before, totaling $62 billion and Carlos down by a slight $2 billion from Buffet.
